About the job
About Industrial AI Cameras Inc.
Industrial AI Cameras Inc. builds advanced AI camera systems that support manufacturing operations across the United States and China. Reliability is critical in this space: if a camera fails, production lines can grind to a halt. Our team in Taipei works closely with our headquarters in the US and hardware partners worldwide.
Role Overview: Technical Program Manager (Taipei)
This is the first Technical Program Manager role at our company. The person in this position will connect engineering in Taipei with our US headquarters and global hardware partners. The role reports directly to the CTO and offers the chance to define how technical program management operates here.
What Makes This Role Stand Out
- High Impact: Help shape our path as we expand from two to four products. This is more than tracking tasks; it’s about influencing our growth.
- Direct Access: Work closely with the CTO and set up the Technical Program Management function from scratch.
- Tangible Outcomes: Ensure thousands of cameras run smoothly on factory floors around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Cross-Functional Programs: Oversee end-to-end delivery of hardware and software projects, such as custom camera builds with Advantech and Jetpack 6 rollouts.
- Manage Hardware Partners: Track progress with ODMs and vendors, making sure design, prototyping, and production stay on schedule.
- Coordinate Software Releases: Organize field release programs, working with the applications team on staged deployments and maintenance windows.
- Engineering Liaison: Join technical meetings and quarterly business reviews with APAC clients, translating their needs into clear engineering tasks.
- Bridge Regional Gaps: Act as the link between teams in Taipei, China, and San Francisco.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5-8 years in Technical Program Management or Engineering Project Management, with a focus on hardware or embedded systems.
- Vendor Management: A track record of holding ODMs and vendors accountable for timely, high-quality results.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable reading datasheets and BOMs. An electrical engineering degree is not required, but credibility with engineers is important.
- Communication: Strong Mandarin and high-level English skills to work effectively with global teams.
