Exceptional attention to detail is crucial for tracking complex circuit IDs, maintaining billing accuracy, and ensuring timely circuit delivery. In-depth knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).

Join our dynamic team as a Telecommunications Network Administrator, a pivotal role within our organization that ensures seamless connectivity as we expand into new regions. This position requires at least three days a week onsite in Foster City, CA, where you will manage the lifecycle of our telecommunications services, ensuring robust and timely network connectivity across various locations.

Your role will act as a crucial liaison between IT, Facilities, Procurement, and external telecommunications providers. You will play a vital part in deploying connectivity to new sites while collaborating with the Network Engineering team on diverse projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connectivity Management & Procurement: Lead the end-to-end process for data service orders (MACD, Move, Add, Change, Disconnect), including Broadband/DIA, Fiber, EPL, and WISP services. Identify new circuit requirements and oversee the ordering process with Local Exchange Carriers (LECs) and long-distance providers.
  • Vendor & Carrier Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for telecom carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, Lumen). You will be responsible for submitting complete order packages, scheduling installations, managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and promptly addressing service issues to meet deadlines.
  • Technical Provisioning and Integration: Supervise the technical activation and turn-up of new circuits and associated equipment, ensuring strict adherence to project requirements and technical standards. Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Operational Support and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve circuit-level issues, particularly during testing and activation phases, collaborating with the Network Engineering team on major project rollouts and daily operational support tasks.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Maintain an accurate inventory of all active circuits, documenting critical details such as IDs, physical locations, associated costs, and contract expiration dates.
