We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer Level 2 to join our dynamic team at Avalore. In this role, you will analyze system requirements, concept of operations documentation, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to devise comprehensive evaluation and testing strategies. You will be responsible for preparing and executing test plans, conducting data collection and analysis, and effectively reporting on status and results.
Your expertise will support the development of critical Government test and evaluation documentation including Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategies, Test & Evaluation Master Plans, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. You will collaborate with various testing organizations to ensure seamless integration of testing and evaluation programs. Moreover, your specialized T&E capabilities will be tailored to align with assigned system functions, levels, maturity, and performance areas as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
- Assist with Level 1 tasks as appropriate based on your technical training and prior testing experience.
- Conduct in-depth research and apply your knowledge of Government test and evaluation concepts and related engineering, acquisition, and operational activities to support T&E efforts.
- Plan and execute performance analysis.
- Review planned acquisition strategies to ensure T&E schedule alignment with decision-maker requirements.
- Analyze performance risk areas to focus T&E planning.
- Specify, validate, and adapt modeling and simulation for T&E usage.
- Employ statistical analysis to assess variations in performance behavior, enhancing confidence in performance estimates.
- Select, develop, and utilize analysis tools effectively.
- Implement the evaluation plan based on data collected from testing activities.
- Coordinate program and event-level testing to gather data necessary for analysis and synchronize T&E events with decision points.
- Establish and maintain data and configuration management capabilities.
- Support data authentication group functions and comply with program discrepancy reporting criteria and processes.
- Evaluate operational and system performance requirements for testability, framing and prioritizing T&E objectives to facilitate evaluation planning.
- Work closely with program Systems Engineering (SE) to review T&E-related SE information, leveraging functional analysis, system descriptions, parameter selection, dependencies, modeling and simulation, and initial performance risk assessments.
- Assess operational environments and prioritize evaluation scenarios, coordinating user participation in T&E.
- Design surveys to evaluate Subject Matter Expert (SME) input and user assessments of performance.
