Strong foundational knowledge of core engineering principles encompassing structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. Experience in a shipyard or onboard vessels is highly desirable. Proficient in using 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., Rhino, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Job Overview

We are on the lookout for an exceptionally talented Tooling Engineering Manager to spearhead our build and tooling engineering teams for our maritime Autonomous Service Vessels. This pivotal role will orchestrate efforts within the build and tooling engineering teams to expedite the transition of Saronic’s innovative products from development to full-scale production.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee tooling requests, development, and validation across all products at Saronic.

  • Lead the build engineering team to ensure compliance with both internal and external standards for configuration management and build processes.

  • Coordinate efforts between build and tooling engineering teams to prioritize tasks and swiftly address technical and scheduling challenges.

  • Act as a key liaison between engineering and production teams to tackle challenges that arise during design and construction phases.

  • Manage non-conformance tickets, conduct root cause analyses, and drive resolutions through Issue Review Boards (IRBs) and rework plans.

  • Oversee Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) across products, ensuring traceability, communication, implementation, and verification.

  • Engage in design reviews and brainstorming sessions for both new and existing vessel concepts.

  • Assist with documentation, technical writing, and preparation of reports for internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and client presentations.

  • Manage CAD models to record changes made during ship construction.
