We are looking for an individual who possesses practical experience with hand tools, power tools, and an understanding of automobile maintenance and home repairs. As a Tooling Presetter, your role will involve ensuring that our production team has the necessary materials to adhere to the work schedule, thereby maintaining a smooth workflow. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the daily work schedule and guarantee that all materials are available and ready for use.
- Thoroughly clean and prepare used tooling for upcoming tasks.
- Utilize basic hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches, along with tool measuring devices like gauges, both manual and computerized.
- Document and communicate test results and relevant billing information.
- Contribute insights to address manufacturing challenges or tool setup issues.
- Occasionally operate machine shop equipment, including saws, sanders, sandblasters, and polishers, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to follow instructions and task sheets, work independently with minimal supervision, multitask effectively, and pay attention to detail.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using tools.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift repetitively for extended periods.
- Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment, which includes wearing appropriate PPE, handling materials, tools, and chemicals safely, and promptly reporting hazardous conditions or equipment issues.
- Successfully complete the required pre-employment background check and drug screening.
