Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, and traffic staging compliant with agency and DOT standards. Registered Professional Engineer or eligibility to obtain PE license within 6 months. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms. Able to work effectively as part of a team or independently as required. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, along with good time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a professional team to deliver comprehensive traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulations, and conceptual planning/design.
  • Prepare plan sheets, specifications, estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
  • Engage in ITS or emerging technology projects following established systems engineering processes.
  • Assume diverse roles on traffic/ITS projects to support successful project outcomes.
  • Actively participate in producing technical deliverables including plans, specifications, estimates, and reports.
  • Mentor Early Career staff by reviewing technical work and project documentation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks while adhering to AECOM quality standards and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with various discipline groups within AECOM and collaborate with external clients and sub-consultants.
  • Work independently to complete primary design elements for engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with Business Development leaders to identify and capture project opportunities.
