What Will You Do?
As a trainer at the School for Peace Missions, you will mentor government personnel being deployed to international mission areas. During the Mission Orientation, you will familiarize participants with all aspects of deployment: from safety and preparation to cultural sensitivity and local customs. You will also deliver specialized UN training and safety courses for various organizations.
- You will conduct lessons and training sessions during Mission Orientation.
- You will cover topics such as safety, preparation, culture, and local context.
- You will provide UN-related training for observers, advisors, liaison officers, and UN personnel.
- You will lead safety training for police, journalists, and international organizations.
- You will support participants in their mental and professional preparation for deployment.
- You will translate your mission experience into realistic and applicable instruction.
- You will create a learning environment focused on awareness, professionalism, and resilience.
Where Will You Work?
You will be part of the School for Peace Missions, a training environment where military personnel, police officers, and civilian professionals converge. The workplace includes classrooms, training grounds, and facilities for practicing realistic scenarios.
You will collaborate with instructors and specialists who have firsthand experience in international or high-risk environments. Reporting to a training coordinator, you will regularly discuss planning, content, and quality assurance. These meetings focus on consistency, progress, and enhancing educational outcomes. Colleagues from Triangular Group will be present at various times, with occasional visits to the headquarters in Heerle.
