Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation EngineeringProfessional Engineer License (P. E) in Oregon and/or Washington, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire7+ years of design experienceStrong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly in state or local government roadway designProficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Inroads, or other relevant design software; roadway CADD and modeling experience is essentialExceptional oral and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment across diverse disciplines and project typesFlexibility, creativity in project approaches, and a commitment to learning and developmentExperience working in a consulting firm or municipal engineering department is preferred

We are excited to welcome a Transportation Civil Engineer to our vibrant team in Portland, Oregon.

As a Transportation Civil Engineer, you will engage in civil engineering design work within a collaborative environment, partnering with fellow engineers, project managers, and Apex staff across various service disciplines. Your responsibilities will include preparing and overseeing design elements such as roadway sections, intersection layouts, construction staging and traffic control, signing and striping, ADA design, interchange layouts, roadway drainage (including hydraulic reports), alignment/right-of-way plans, temporary erosion control plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, and utility plans.
