Key Responsibilities:Oversee the General Ledger Analysis, ensuring accuracy and identifying the need for new accounts. Reconcile inventory and COGS accounts while proposing and implementing cost-saving measures. Complete the Accounting Department Checklist and update figures on a weekly basis. Independently generate monthly Financial Statements within established deadlines. Analyze domestic financial statements. Recommend and uphold accounting policies and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance. Assist in managing accounts payable and payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate operations. Support the management of accounts receivable and funding service, ensuring accuracy in billings and cash application. Collaborate with the Global Controller to ensure corporate income tax compliance. Develop and implement internal controls and policies to meet legislative requirements and best practices. Establish and maintain systems to verify the integrity of financial processes and data. Qualifications:At least 10 years of relevant experience, including consolidations, eliminations, foreign subsidiaries, and management. A bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or MBA is preferred. Strong understanding of US GAAP. Proficient in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure the timely and accurate preparation of essential financial management reports, including internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and budget plans.

As a key contributor, you will generate reports that summarize and forecast business activities and financial standings, analyzing income, expenses, and earnings based on historical, current, and projected operations.

While this position is based in Newton, NJ, occasional travel to other Thorlabs locations may be required.
