User Research OperationsAssist in research operations including the planning and scheduling of user research sessions for ClinicalTrials.gov and SRA. This involves conducting interviews, usability tests, and gathering feedback from researchers, clinicians, data submitters, and the public. Engage participants with diverse biomedical and technical expertise, ensuring effective communication and smooth logistical arrangements. Oversee consent processes, scheduling, documentation, and research records, adhering to federal and NIH standards. Data Collection and SynthesisGather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from user sessions, surveys, support inquiries, and various feedback mechanisms related to ClinicalTrials.gov and SRA. Transform research findings into actionable insights, pinpointing usability challenges, workflow barriers, and areas for improvement. Convert complex user feedback into coherent themes and summaries to guide future enhancements.

At Black Canyon Consulting (BCC), we are on the lookout for a talented User Experience (UX) Research Analyst to enhance user-centered design and facilitate the continuous improvement of ClinicalTrials.gov and the Sequence Read Archive (SRA). These two essential biomedical data resources are maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). The ideal candidate will orchestrate user research activities, amalgamate qualitative and quantitative insights, and create a Power BI-powered user feedback dashboard to ensure that diverse perspectives from scientific, clinical, and public users are integrated into product decisions and system enhancements.
