What You Need:BS in Engineering required; MS or PhD in Engineering preferred.3+ years of experience in aerospace vehicle performance and simulation at a full-vehicle level. Proficiency in modeling and numerical optimization techniques, particularly in the context of aerodynamic vehicles. Advanced skills in developing vehicle analysis tools and simulations using Python and MATLAB. Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication abilities. Experience working in a fast-paced design environment. Bonus Qualifications:Experience in modeling and analyzing eVTOL aircraft performance data.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle-level trade study analyses.
  • Define and validate performance requirements for our aircraft.
  • Characterize aircraft performance and capabilities, and perform simulations to support Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs).
  • Analyze flight test data, identify model errors, and refine vehicle physics models.
  • Contribute to the development of flight training devices and pilot-in-the-loop simulator models.
  • Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to integrate their systems into our vehicle simulations, covering dynamics, powertrain, actuation, sensors, and environmental modeling.
  • Support design and analysis activities to ensure compliance with business and regulatory standards.
  • Develop embedded aircraft performance models for inclusion in the aircraft flight manual, flight management system, and airline operations.
