THE EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Our Veterinary Technician Student Externship Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of veterinary professionals. This hands-on, immersive experience allows you to work alongside our credentialed emergency veterinary technicians, providing you with the opportunity to learn in a real-world environment.

During the externship, you will not only observe but actively participate in the emergency care process. Engage in patient triage, diagnostics, inpatient care, and more. This experience will help you understand the realities of emergency medicine and whether it aligns with your professional aspirations. It's your opportunity to establish a solid foundation, gain inspiration, and join a team committed to excellence.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Learn from leading emergency veterinary professionals.
  • Partner with a credentialed veterinary technician for guided mentorship and hands-on training.
  • Shadow and assist in various procedures, including triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care.
  • Develop skills as per your school's proficiency checklist under expert guidance.
