About the Role
The Platform Infrastructure team at iCapital Network is essential for ensuring smooth and secure operations in both production and development environments. This position leverages advanced cloud technologies to enhance our Platform Infrastructure strategy, focusing on market agility and lean operational principles, all while maintaining a strong commitment to quality. We are on the lookout for highly collaborative, innovative, and intellectually curious Platform Engineers who are eager to develop and deploy state-of-the-art cloud computing capabilities. In this multifaceted role, you will engage with various aspects of the business, making a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot distributed systems, showcasing strong debugging skills.
- Foster collaboration between the Platform Infrastructure team and the Information Security Team to tackle security challenges related to the platform, CI/CD pipelines, and development tools.
- Champion security best practices by advocating for a shift-left approach and cultivating a robust security culture within the DevOps/Platform Infrastructure team.
- Create and sustain tools that enhance the development environment on MacOS and Linux, prioritizing developer productivity.
- Ensure site reliability by developing highly scalable systems that integrate resiliency and high availability.
- Develop software and tools to secure and automate cloud infrastructure, establishing software delivery capabilities with fully automated workflows.
- Oversee the design and operation of a Kubernetes environment for effective container management and orchestration.
- Demonstrate experience with distributed systems design and hands-on troubleshooting/debugging.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with at least 4 years focused on AWS.
- Over 8 years of experience in CI/CD pipeline development using GitLab, GitHub, or related frameworks.
- At least 5 years of expertise in security best practices within AWS, including remediation of SecurityHub findings.
- 5+ years of experience utilizing DevSecOps tools, including SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
- Strong background in microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes) in a production environment is highly desired.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux OS and proficiency in command-line/scripting along with configuration management principles.
- Working knowledge of relevant technologies and protocols.
