Hands-on experience with Azure/Intune and SCCM. Proficiency in using Tenable for vulnerability analysis. Automation & Scripting Skills:Strong command of PowerShell scripting. Experience in remediation scripting and automating recurring fixes. Ability to develop self-healing solutions and build internal tools. Desirable Skills:Familiarity with Linux and macOS vulnerability management. Excellent communication skills for liaising with vendors and technical teams. Understanding of ITSM processes. Profile Attributes:A strong sense of ownership and independence. Ability to tackle complex problems effectively. A mindset focused on continuous improvement. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

About the job

Alongside Team is hiring a Vulnerability and Patch Engineer in Porto, Portugal. This role focuses on securing Windows environments through effective, automated vulnerability remediation and patch management. The position supports our mission to deliver reliable, lasting solutions that prevent issues from recurring.

What You Will Do

  • Manage patch deployment for Windows endpoints using Azure/Intune and SCCM.
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in both operating systems and applications.
  • Automate remediation steps and develop self-healing processes.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments with Tenable.
  • Apply targeted interventions such as PsExec when required.
  • Test and validate remediation steps in lab environments, including VMs.
  • Work with other teams to monitor vulnerabilities on Linux (Rocky 8) and macOS systems.
  • Prepare reports, maintain audit documentation, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
