Intermediate technical knowledge in coding, Java, and testing. Proficient in script editing, as well as in Confluence Wiki, MediaWiki, and PM Wiki. Familiarity with the Universal Wiki Converter and strong Java skills are essential.

About the job

As a Web Editor, you will take charge of managing and enhancing content for our internal internet and intranet sites. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the migration of content from our existing internal wiki site, which is powered by MediaWiki, to a new enterprise-level internal wiki.


Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting thorough reviews of the existing wiki site to identify and rectify outdated or inaccurate content.
  2. Utilizing the Universal Wiki Converter or a similar tool to export existing pages from the MediaWiki site to a format compatible with the new enterprise wiki.
  3. Collaborating with the IT department to upload the content to the new wiki and ensuring the migration is executed flawlessly.
  4. Verifying the integrity of new wiki content post-upload and resolving any formatting discrepancies that may arise (such as issues with fonts, images, URLs, and file attachments).
  5. Implementing the necessary Active Directory access control lists for wiki pages that require them.
  6. Disabling or deleting content from the old wiki once successful migration to the new site is confirmed.
