What experience would we like you to have?The ideal candidate should have strong administrative and customer service skills and be available to work three 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week) from Friday at 20:00 to Monday at 08:00. While prior experience in the rail and/or construction industries would be advantageous for understanding the diverse needs of our evolving client base, it is not mandatory.

What will you be doing?

As a Resource Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to all business units of RSS during weekend nights. Your responsibility will be to act as the out-of-hours cover for any issues that arise from our customers and the RSS workforce. You will be required to work three 12-hour shifts from 20:00 to 08:00 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

As a clear and confident communicator, you will ensure effective communication between departments and clients, enabling day teams to have a thorough understanding of ongoing situations across the business. Additionally, you will serve as a safety ambassador by reinforcing RSSI's safety values.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving out-of-hours calls from customers and contractors, resolving issues across RSS business units, and preparing handovers for office staff during regular hours when necessary.
  • Updating the internal system (Aspire) in line with evening handovers to meet both internal and external requests.
  • Logging all out-of-hours activities on the relevant system (Aspire), including calls, incidents, and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Promptly following up on out-of-hours complaints and preparing detailed handovers for the relevant internal department.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and RSS’s contracted workforce.
  • Contacting every worker two hours prior to their shift to confirm availability and arranging replacements or informing clients as required.
  • Engaging with all night-time RSS workers nightly to ensure they arrive on time, are correctly briefed, and have the necessary PPE and tools for their jobs.
  • Conducting immediate internal investigations into any exceedances and closing out where possible, providing handovers to Heads of Departments/Compliance Managers.
