What You Bring Proficiency in English (both written and verbal); knowledge of Mandarin is preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to handle time-sensitive, high-pressure tasks efficiently. A collaborative team player with excellent communication and coordination skills. Proficient in technology and airline systems (DCS, telex, email, etc.). Self-motivated, methodical, and adaptable to unexpected situations. Aviation experience or a minimum of 3 months in a customer service role is preferred. Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening. Legally authorized to work in the U. S. Willingness to undergo all necessary airline and safety training.

Join the team at Pacific Aviation as a vital member of our Weight and Balance crew, where you will be instrumental in ensuring secure and efficient aircraft operations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). This position is part-time and involves working night shifts, making it an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented, safety-focused individuals who excel in supporting roles behind the scenes of aviation.

As a Weight and Balance Load Controller, your responsibilities will include managing weight and balance coordination, preparing essential documentation, and guaranteeing that our flights depart safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Centralized Load Control (CLC), ramp staff, and cargo teams to ensure safe and timely flight departures.
  • Calculate the estimated zero fuel weight (EZFW) and communicate it to flight dispatch.
  • Prepare and review critical flight documentation, including checklists, logs, and UCM telexes.
  • Validate cargo documents, loading instructions, and notify teams of any discrepancies or updates.
  • Effectively communicate last-minute changes (LMCs) to the cockpit crew and adjust load sheets as necessary.
  • Monitor and report any weight discrepancies or fuel impacts that could affect ZFW.
  • Adhere to safety standards and loading principles based on load category and flight destination.
  • Maintain accurate records while complying with airline-specific and regulatory requirements.
