Comprehensive expertise in pharmaceutical distribution, including:DSCSA traceabilitycGMP/GDP21 CFR Part 11Audit trails, e-signaturesCold chain/temperature-controlled workflowsSignificant experience in 3PL multi-client environments. Robust understanding of core warehouse processes (inbound, putaway, replenishment, picking methods, VAS, returns, QC, cycle counting). Strong SQL Server experience (queries, stored procedures, database management).

THE ROLE:

We are in search of a seasoned WMS Workflow Architect to spearhead technical, functional, and strategic leadership for our Datex WMS platform, specifically tailored for pharmaceutical 3PL operations. This pivotal role will act as the design authority across all warehouse implementations, clients, and solutions.

You will oversee both onshore and offshore WMS configuration teams, ensuring standardization, compliance, architectural integrity, and operational excellence across multi-client pharmaceutical distribution environments. Key responsibilities include supervising workflow design, ensuring regulatory adherence (cGMP/GDP, DSCSA, Part 11), maintaining master data governance, integration frameworks, and managing change-control/validation strategies.

This senior-level, hands-on technical leadership position is perfect for an individual who possesses extensive WMS knowledge, outstanding communication capabilities, and the ability to harmonize technology design with operational realities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enterprise Architecture & Design Authority
    • Act as the principal owner of architectural standards, design conventions, and configuration patterns for all Datex WMS workflows.
    • Establish and enforce enterprise-wide WMS architecture encompassing warehouse blueprints, workflow standards, integration patterns, and compliance frameworks.
    • Review and approve all WMS design modifications from both onshore and offshore teams.
    • Maintain an in-depth understanding of both current and future warehouse processes, regulatory expectations, and operational challenges.
  • Leadership of Onshore & Offshore Teams
    • Guide, mentor, and support WMS workflow developers, analysts, and QA testers across onshore and offshore teams.
    • Prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and ensure the timely delivery of enhancements, fixes, client onboarding tasks, and projects.
    • Enhance team capabilities through training, playbooks, process maps, and reusable design components.
    • Serve as the escalation point for configuration, design, integration, and environmental challenges.
  • Pharma Distribution & Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure all workflows comply with DSCSA, cGMP/GDP, 21 CFR Part 11, and audit trail/e-signature mandates.
    • Oversee validation strategies for WMS changes, including URS, FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ, traceability matrices, and controlled releases.
    • Collaborate with Quality teams to guarantee preparedness for regulatory audits, client assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Workflow Strategy & Solution Design
    • Design effective workflows for:
      • FEFO/expiry-driven allocation
      • Lot/batch/serial control
      • Quarantine/QA/hold/release
      • Temperature-controlled workflows
      • Controlled substances handling
