The Team and Work Environment The CTO will lead a remote team of around 10 developers, covering frontend, backend, machine learning, and quality assurance. What You Will Do Enterprise Platform Architecture Shape and refine the architecture for a scalable SaaS platform, with attention to availability, performance, cost, and maintainability. Build enterprise-grade foundations: reliability, observability, incident response, data governance, access control, audit trails, and operational maturity. Define technical standards: service boundaries, API contracts, data architecture, testing, CI/CD, release, and rollback processes. Develop a practical modernization roadmap that allows for continued feature delivery. Engineering Execution Translate company goals into a clear delivery framework: set priorities, define milestones, encourage ownership, and maintain a regular release cadence. Lead execution rituals: planning, estimation, weekly checkpoints, technical reviews, postmortems, and quality gates. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in people, process, or technology, especially where teams intersect with design and go-to-market functions. Raise engineering standards: encourage code reviews, improve system design, enforce testing, and support operational excellence. Direct staffing strategies, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, leveling, and career growth for engineers and tech leads.
