About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a motivated and results-driven Solutions Engineer to spearhead technical discovery, demonstrations, and implementation efforts for our government and national security clientele. This role specifically caters to Ministries of Defense and similar organizations across Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you will translate intricate customer mission requirements into successful Skydio deployments.
In this capacity, you will serve as the pivotal technical liaison between our customers and internal teams, managing the entire technical engagement process. This encompasses discovery sessions, proof-of-concept initiatives, system demonstrations, validation processes, and field implementations. Comfort in engaging with senior government stakeholders as well as collaborating with engineers and field operators is essential. Familiarity with government acquisition protocols and the delivery of sophisticated technical systems under contract is crucial for success in this role.
This position is part of the Solutions Engineering organization and works closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure timely and precise delivery of autonomous systems.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Conduct technical discovery sessions with government clients to assess mission objectives, operational limitations, regional factors, and success metrics.
Design and implement proof-of-concept trials, field tests, and validation events to showcase system performance under real-world conditions.
Prepare and execute comprehensive system demonstrations, including independent setup of developmental equipment, system operation, troubleshooting, and delivering customer-facing presentations.
Oversee all aspects of system validation and customer implementations to ensure successful deployments that adhere to timelines.
Act as a subject matter expert during government contracting, testing, and acceptance activities, guiding Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams through validation procedures.
Contribute to business development through technical documentation and responses to RFIs and RFPs.
