About the job
At Base, we are dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs to conquer the global e-commerce landscape. As one of the fastest-growing platforms in the industry, we have experienced a remarkable growth rate of 15 times in the last 3 years! We provide an all-in-one system for thousands of sellers, integrating them seamlessly with Amazon, eBay, and Shopify.
However, technology alone isn’t enough. In our team, we value engineering reliability and human decency. We’re not looking for a 'Ninja' or a 'Rockstar'; we seek a Partner we can trust.
Managing infrastructure that handles millions of requests is a role built on high trust. This is why we are looking for someone with a strong moral backbone.
Your Technical Stack
We work on a robust and efficient stack that you must know inside out:
- Core: Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), Nginx (deep tuning and optimization), PHP-FPM
- Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM)
- Data: MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ
- Observability: Datadog, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana)
- IaC: Terraform / Ansible
Your Responsibilities
- You will manage infrastructure permissions, ensuring meticulous attention to who has access to servers and why.
- Implementing stable service operations in AWS cloud that can withstand our dynamic growth.
- Maintaining Unix/Linux servers—configuration, updates, and automation, with a full understanding of what is happening within the operating system.
- Responding to incidents based on deep log analysis (DD, Elastic). You will focus on Root Cause Analysis rather than simply restarting services.
- Supporting development teams to ensure the continuous and smooth operation of the system.
What We Expect
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps/SysAdmin role, including practical experience with AWS.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, complemented by classic administration experience (experience in maintaining physical servers/Data Centers is a plus).
- Proficiency in Linux: You should feel at home in the Terminal.
- Moral integrity and responsibility: Your 'Can Do' approach is combined with accountability for the 'keys to the kingdom.'
- Humble towards technology: You understand that everyone makes mistakes, but you know how to correct them.
- 360-degree problem analysis: You look at issues from every angle—security, efficiency, and long-term impacts.
- Bridging cloud with hardware: We operate on AWS, but we seek someone who understands the physical nature of servers.
- Language: Proficiency in English, minimum B2 level (we operate globally).
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications that validate your knowledge.
- Practical experience with Terraform.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or Cloudflare.
- A desire to develop towards agent-based DevOps (process automation).
What We Offer
- An environment where we treat mistakes as learning opportunities...
