Role Overview
The Engineering Team Leader guides a small group of engineers, focusing on enabling team members to excel. This role balances hands-on product development with people management and team advocacy. The leader fosters growth, supports career development, and helps shape engineering workflows.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of 3-5 engineers, working across backend and frontend projects.
- Dedicate about 30% of your time to management responsibilities, with the rest spent on product development.
- Participate in hiring for your team and support colleagues during their hiring cycles.
- Oversee onboarding for new engineers joining your group.
- Represent your team, manage team dynamics, and help each person play to their strengths.
- Provide regular, constructive feedback and ongoing support.
- Mentor direct reports and encourage their career growth.
- Coach and guide the team to improve performance.
- Redesign engineering workflows to use autonomous agents as the main execution layer.
Location
This position is fully remote and open to candidates based in Northeast Asia.
