Your Role:
We are searching for an experienced MES Engineer with robust expertise in PAS-X to contribute to a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing project. This role demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Process Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Quality Assurance, Validation, and IT, to design, optimize, and implement MES solutions, particularly focusing on Electronic Batch Records (EBR).
The undertaking includes enhancing an existing MES framework, which encompasses the adoption of Siemens Edge technologies to improve data flow, system integration, and real-time insights into manufacturing operations.
This is a fully remote position supporting a site based in Switzerland, providing opportunities to engage with global stakeholders in complex, multi-product manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and develop MES templates and Electronic Batch Records (EBRs) that align with manufacturing process specifications.
Evaluate and enhance existing EBR designs in areas such as cell culture, purification, and drug product operations, offering standardization recommendations.
Facilitate the transition from paper-based or hybrid batch records to comprehensive digital EBR solutions.
Create MES workflows, state diagrams, and configuration strategies tailored to various manufacturing processes.
Generate and maintain detailed MES documentation, including configuration specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and design documents.
Work closely with Process SMEs to ensure MES design is consistent with source documentation such as process descriptions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), recipes, and validation strategies.
Lead and assist in MES testing activities, including shakedown testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
