Are you passionate about making a difference in the field of affordable housing?Access Services is seeking a dedicated Housing Locator to assist individuals facing homelessness in Bucks County, PA, in securing safe and affordable housing options. This position involves daily travel across Bucks County, with a home office located in Warminster, PA, and necessitates a strong on-site presence within the community.The Housing Locator will cultivate relationships with landlords, identify available housing units, and provide support to individuals during their transition to stable housing. By establishing and nurturing connections with landlords, this role includes negotiating lease terms and facilitating move-in processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with diverse populations and collaborating with mental health and housing providers. As a mission-driven leader, you will ensure that Access Services' care philosophy is upheld, meeting the unique needs of individuals and families.Work Schedule:Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, with flexibility to adjust to 8 AM - 4 PM if necessary. Availability for housing showings and other events is expected, along with rotating on-call responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Develop and sustain relationships with landlords, property managers, and real estate agents to broaden affordable housing opportunities.Identify suitable housing units to match with individuals and families experiencing homelessness.Coordinate lease documentation, move-in requirements, and facilitate housing transitions.Collaborate with Housing Stability Specialists to ensure effective communication and warm handoffs regarding individuals' needs.Stay updated on HUD regulations and guarantee compliance with funding guidelines.Assist individuals during housing viewings and transitions from hospitals to temporary housing or new move-ins.Act as the primary contact for landlord inquiries and work with housing staff to resolve any issues.Complete housing readiness assessments, intakes, case notes, and maintain documentation in the electronic health record system.Participate in county, committee, consumer, and team meetings as necessary. Additional Information:Maintain reliable attendance and be open to working scheduled or unplanned overtime to address program needs.This is a client-facing role, with no remote or hybrid work options available.
