The Role
We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to become part of our Data Integration and Platforms team within the Retain squad. This team serves as the primary engineering support for our live client integrations. You will collaborate closely with Product, Delivery, and Support teams. This is a multifaceted role that involves refining and enhancing our critical integrations while strategically investing in our core data platform through data semantics, 835 processing, and data catalog and lineage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and advancement of interfaces connecting live integration data to Cedar’s systems.
- Serve as a product engineer for internal users, guiding the roadmap and delivering tools and abstractions that transform complex, customer-sourced data into understandable formats across the organization.
- Enhance existing client integrations through strategic improvements.
- Mentor team members in technical practices, establishing coding standards for our evolving data platform.
- Balance immediate delivery needs while focusing on our long-term architectural goals, ensuring alignment with critical business outcomes and engineering principles.
- Work closely with delivery engineering teams to enhance the quality, speed, and scalability of data integration with healthcare providers.
- Pursue continual scalability improvements in data tools, processes, and engineering practices to minimize implementation and analytics timelines, reduce customer friction points, and lower maintenance costs.
- Apply robust software engineering methodologies to the data domain, including version control, automated testing (unit/integration), CI/CD, and structured logging/observability.
