About the job
Neuralink builds devices that connect directly with the human brain, aiming to restore functions such as mobility and vision while opening new ways to interact with technology. The company focuses on creating bi-directional interfaces that can help people with paralysis and vision loss, and ultimately change how humans engage with the digital world.
The Brain Interfaces Hardware Department designs and implements advanced chip architectures for neural recording and stimulation. This team develops custom systems-on-chip (SoC) for high-bandwidth brain-computer interfaces, working at the edge of what current silicon technology allows.
What you will do
- Design layouts for mixed-signal and analog circuits, including amplifiers, filters, switched capacitor circuits, oscillators, data converters, and power management circuits.
- Work closely with circuit engineers to review layout floorplans and analyze high-fidelity circuits.
- Perform physical verification of custom IC mask layouts, including layout versus schematic (LVS), design rule check (DRC), and electrical rule check (ERC).
What we are looking for
- Strong interest in next-generation chip design using advanced architectures and hardware accelerators.
- Ability to improve energy efficiency, information entropy, and scalability in wireless brain-computer interface chips.
- Analytical skills and a drive to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Enthusiasm for building innovative solutions in analog IC layout.
