About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Associate Account Executive to enhance our sales organization at Sandstone. Unlike traditional BDR/SDR roles, this position offers a comprehensive experience throughout the entire sales cycle. You will engage in various critical functions, including navigating procurement processes, creating persuasive proposals, conducting security reviews, and finalizing pricing agreements. We firmly believe that hands-on experience is the best way to develop effective sales skills. Initially, you will manage specific segments of the sales cycle, with the goal of eventually overseeing the entire process independently.
Within your first year, you will be expected to take ownership of your own book of business.
Your Responsibilities
Deal Execution
- Manage RFP responses from start to finish, coordinating efforts across sales, post-sales, and product teams.
- Conduct vendor assessments and security questionnaires for enterprise-level prospects.
- Develop and enhance proposals, pricing presentations, and quote configurations.
- Facilitate contract workflows from initial drafting to final signature.
Sales Infrastructure
- Maintain and enhance our repository of sales materials, including one-pagers, presentations, case studies, and competitive positioning strategies.
- Create customized deal-specific collateral when existing resources are inadequate.
- Identify deficiencies in the sales process and take initiative to address them.
GTM Operations
- Coordinate marketing and sales activities, utilizing AI tools to optimize outreach efforts.
- Assist with pipeline reporting, data integrity, and process documentation.
Deal Progression
- Collaborate with senior team members on active deals from discovery to closure.
- Gradually take on accounts and expansion opportunities as your capacity and judgment improve.
- Transition into a defined quota-carrying territory within 12 months.
