The team works closely with cross-functional partners to define architecture, requirements, and test plans for a range of features and functionalities, including: Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) across multiple autonomy levels (L1, L2, L3), such as Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Base Park Aid, Lane Keeping & Change Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), L2 Hands-On and Hands-Free, and L3 Eyes-Free features. Onboard (vehicle) and offboard (cloud) autonomy functions, including Mapping, Prediction, and Motion Planning. Platform capabilities for both onboard and offboard systems, like Logging, Time Synchronization, Data Ingestion, and Over-the-Air Software Updates. What You Will Do Lead and manage systems engineering processes for multiple ADAS features and ensure their integration with Ford platforms. This position offers the unique opportunity to significantly influence the design and development of our innovative two to four-wheeled vehicles.Your Key Responsibilities:Oversee the complete development of high-level CAD assemblies using CATIA, facilitating design iterations and release activities across the team.Take ownership of top-level vehicle CAD, defining mechanical and electrical interfaces, maintaining master sections, reference views, and conducting kinematic sweeps for steering and suspension components.Lead cross-functional packaging workstreams, focusing on subsystem control volume development, mass optimization, packaging, manufacturability, and serviceability.Manage interference detection and resolution activities, conducting regular manual and automated checks, and collaborating with subsystem engineering teams to address issues.Conduct vehicle-level assembly simulations to identify clearance, assembly flight path, tool access, and serviceability challenges.Drive PLM Integration Activities: Oversee the CAD data lifecycle and audit subsystem lifecycle statuses. Create and manage the top-level vehicle Bill of Materials (BOM) within PLM tools.
