General Summary
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will create and maintain backend services that drive our products, taking ownership of applications from their inception through to development, testing, and production release. You must be adaptable and willing to take on various responsibilities to ensure the successful delivery of our offerings.
Your contributions will include developing modular backend code within our frameworks, enhancing system scalability, adding new features to APIs, refactoring monolithic code into cohesive, loosely-coupled components, and identifying performance bottlenecks across our systems. You will be encouraged to grow within your craft while helping to continuously enhance our processes, software quality, and overall system performance. You will facilitate architecture/design discussions, mentor junior team members, and introduce new languages and skills to our intelligent, high-performing team.

You will be working directly with the MakeMusic Engineering Team and will report to the Engineering Manager.
