Join Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) in our mission to empower people to lead fulfilling lives. We are seeking dedicated Bilingual Social Workers for the Early Start Assessment team. In this role, you will conduct assessments for families with children aged 0-36 months applying for Early Start services, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and support.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work with clients in their homes in San Mateo County, from our San Mateo office, or remotely. Local travel within San Mateo County is required, so reliable transportation is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments for Early Start applicants.
  • Engage with clients/families to gather necessary social, emotional, developmental, and familial information.
  • Perform need assessments while prioritizing available resources.
  • Clarify service requests and client needs.
  • Analyze data to identify barriers and opportunities for client development.
  • Design and update Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) in compliance with state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with families to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Address immediate needs and facilitate necessary interventions.
  • Review submitted materials and coordinate meetings with families.
  • Compile and submit comprehensive assessment reports and documentation.
