Remote Bookkeeper

We are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with a robust background in the construction industry to join our dynamic team!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
2. Maintain meticulous records of financial activities using accounting software.
3. Reconcile bank statements and generate financial reports for managerial review.
4. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive financial statements.
5. Process payroll efficiently while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
6. Monitor invoices, expenses, and payments to guarantee prompt collections and disbursements.
7. Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations specific to the construction sector.
8. Aid in the preparation of documentation for tax filings and audits.
9. Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and profitability.
10. Undertake additional finance-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
• Familiarity with the construction industry, particularly in job costing, is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software packages.
• Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities.
• Strong English communication skills:
Reading: Exceptional proficiency in reviewing financial documents.
Writing: Clear and professional documentation of financial transactions.
Speaking: Effective communication with clients and team members.
• High attention to detail and precision in financial reporting.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Tech-savvy, with a solid understanding of cloud-based accounting tools.
