Position Overview: Bridge Designer (EIT)

Benesch is seeking a driven and motivated Civil Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience to join our Railroad Bridge team based in Fort Worth, TX.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity or experience in Rail Bridge or Highway Bridge design. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Technicians across various offices to deliver services for Class 1, short line, and commuter railroads. Responsibilities include professional communication, adaptability to project needs, and conducting essential analyses of project components.

Our Railroad Division comprises highly skilled rail professionals, many of whom have firsthand experience working with operating railroads. This unique background equips our team to develop innovative solutions for a wide variety of rail projects.

Work Environment

This position features a hybrid work schedule, with in-office work at our Fort Worth, TX location.

  • Conducting basic analysis of project elements.
  • Performing load development and design calculations for project elements, including quality checking work.
  • Preparing well-organized structural calculations.
