Required Qualifications:A minimum of 1 year of full desk B2G sales experience. Proven track record in managing long-term business relationships and securing large contracts. Strong understanding of the commercial and Federal space markets, including industry trends and competitive dynamics. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities. Proficient in cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives. Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in the military or a similar high-demand, disciplined civilian role. Familiarity with sales software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).

About the job

Spire is seeking a Business Development Manager focused on U. S. Federal ISR to help expand its presence in the federal and commercial space services market. This Boulder-based role centers on identifying new business opportunities and strengthening Spire’s Space Services product portfolio by working closely with government and industry stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy to grow revenue and increase market share within the U. S. Federal Government and commercial sectors.
  • Find and secure new contracts by leveraging industry relationships and monitoring RFP and RFQ opportunities relevant to Spire’s offerings.
  • Establish and maintain strong connections with leaders at federal agencies, prime contractors, and other key organizations.
  • Lead negotiations for complex deals, often managing long sales cycles and high-value agreements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and technical pre-sales teams to ensure solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Drive or support projects within your territory, from detailed negotiations to focused marketing efforts.
  • Represent Spire at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase visibility and generate new leads.
