Role Overview: Carrier Sales Representative (Remote)
This remote position supports a fast-growing logistics team. The Carrier Sales Representative plays a key role in building and maintaining strong partnerships with carrier companies, ensuring freight shipments move smoothly and efficiently. The team uses SaaS tools and data-driven strategies to improve supply chain operations for clients.
What You Will Do
- Develop and manage a portfolio of carrier relationships to fulfill freight needs for customers.
- Negotiate rates and secure truck capacity for both spot and contracted freight shipments.
- Handle at least 10 loads each day, purchasing capacity at or below market rates.
- Communicate regularly with carriers to resolve service issues and ensure shipments stay on track.
- Meet or exceed daily performance targets, including outbound calls, proactive shipment tracking, and maintaining service reliability.
- Use internal systems and external resources to source carrier capacity strategically.
- Monitor freight market trends to guide pricing decisions and improve carrier utilization.
