RESPONSIBILITIESThe Chief Engineer is an integral part of the Systems Engineering team. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will:Hold ownership over the technical baseline for the program. Be accountable for program technical budgets. Assist the program manager in scope, cost, and schedule decisions. Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to define and document mission objectives, system requirements, and operational concepts. Translate customer and mission needs into actionable technical requirements.

YOUR MISSION

True Anomaly is searching for an exceptional Chief Engineer to oversee the technical execution of a groundbreaking space vehicle program. In this pivotal role, you will define, analyze, and ensure the successful implementation of mission requirements across complex, mission-critical space systems, supporting national defense initiatives and advancing technologies in autonomous space operations. As the primary technical authority for the vehicle, you will be responsible for engineering performance, risk management, and system integration. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams through design, development, analysis, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring that the vehicle architecture, requirements, and design decisions align with overall system objectives and mission success criteria. Your ability to balance rigor with analysis depth to the program's maturity and risk posture will be essential. You will also drive design and technical readiness reviews, manage the technical baseline, and ensure design assurance.
