Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be pivotal in enhancing our essential manufacturing operations. You will engage with both our builders, who request parts, and our manufacturing partners responsible for producing and assembling these components, playing a crucial role in bridging the two.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing the manufacturability and costs of various fabrication processes, such as CNC machining, injection molding, and urethane casting. By applying your Mechanical Engineering expertise, you will identify necessary design modifications to align with client specifications.
You will report directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Lead.
What You Will Do
- RFQ Preparation - Review and clarify RFQs based on 3D and 2D drawings, notes, and any additional information, collaborating with Sales or management when needed.
- Quoting - Analyze information combined with feedback from Fictiv’s manufacturing partners to deliver competitive pricing for RFQs, addressing any inquiries from the sales team.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) - Utilize feedback to ensure manufacturability of designs submitted by builders.
