As a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist at Bertch Cabinets, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to create a diverse array of high-quality Standard Operating Systems (SOS) and Standard Work documents by leveraging advanced tools in SharePoint and Excel.
This role demands a blend of critical thinking and collaboration skills, requiring you to work both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail is essential; you will ensure that all documentation is grammatically correct, technically sound, and concise.
As part of your professional development, you will engage in the Masterbrand Business System Lean training program and lead various Kaizen events. Your responsibilities include identifying, planning, executing, and monitoring improvement initiatives within the plant. This encompasses data tracking, performance reporting, conducting audits, and performing root cause analysis on quality and safety issues.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate innovative thinking and the ability to challenge the status quo across all organizational levels. You should be self-motivated, highly organized, and committed to excellence, showcasing exceptional follow-through and initiative.
This position requires working in proximity to moving equipment and participating in safety incident investigations. Flexibility in work hours, including potential overtime and off-shift assignments, is necessary.
Typical working hours are Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime on Friday as needed.
