As the Creative Director, Interactive & Retail Experiences, you will be the visionary behind the "magic moment", the instant a user interacts with a device and recognizes its value. Reporting to the GCD of Emerging Experiences, your role encompasses the digital representation of Google hardware and software within the physical space.
Your expertise is in creating immersive experiences on-screen while understanding the context of retail. You will spearhead the development of cutting-edge interactive demos for global retail environments such as Google Store and Best Buy, as well as for event activations. As a versatile creative leader, part UX architect, part product designer, and part storyteller, you'll translate intricate AI features into engaging, intuitive, and "Google Grade" interactions.
Responsibilities:
Interactive Mastery & Product Storytelling
- Own the Demo: Drive the conceptualization and execution of on-device demos for new product launches (Pixel, Nest, Fitbit). Transform technical specifications into captivating experiences that demonstrate the product's value instantly.
- Retail Pragmatism: Marry visionary creative thinking with the practicalities of the retail environment. Design experiences that are resilient enough to handle thousands of interactions while remaining engaging for shoppers in seconds.
- UX/UI Leadership: Lead teams of interactive designers, motion designers, and creative technologists. Ensure every interaction, swipe, tap, and transition, meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and usability.
