The Community Development Worker will help coordinate and deliver programs that build local capacity and foster a sense of belonging. What you will do Plan, promote, and run food and community programs at community centres and partner sites. Facilitate community consultations and lead leadership development initiatives. Manage administrative tasks, including documentation, registration, record-keeping, data entry, survey management, and tracking program expenses. Coordinate efforts to keep community spaces clean, safe, and welcoming, ensuring Health and Safety standards are met. Supervise part-time staff, volunteers, and students to support program delivery. Respond to incidents during programs and assist staff with incident reporting for both House of Friendship and partner sites. Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners involved in food and community programs. Serve as the main contact for community centre programs at partner locations. Requirements Valid G class driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle. Successful completion of a Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector) before starting employment. Contract details Full-time contract: June 1, 2026, to March 5, 2027. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Some evening shifts may be required.
