Role overview

The Data Center Infrastructure Architect leads the design of systems for high-density GPU environments. This includes planning and implementing structured cabling, liquid cooling, and intelligent power distribution. The role manages complex data center projects from system design through delivery, coordinating with contractors and vendors to build high-performance infrastructure.

This is a remote position but requires frequent travel, with 50-75% of time spent on-site.

What you will do

  • Design and implement liquid cooling systems, such as CDUs, manifolds, direct-to-chip plates, and facility-to-rack distribution for efficient heat removal in GPU-dense environments.
  • Develop structured cabling solutions: plan pathways, rack layouts, and connectivity topologies, integrating with network systems for scalability.
  • Create and manage power distribution, including PDUs and capacity planning.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, tracking milestones to ensure timely delivery.
  • Write detailed RFPs and SOWs, select vendors, and evaluate technical and cost proposals.
  • Conduct design reviews and inspections to confirm compliance with requirements and performance goals.
  • Document standards and processes, and support post-project reviews for continuous improvement.
