Your Role:
As a Data Engineer within the Data Analytics Team, you will be integral in building the foundation of data and AI solutions at Portbase. You will contribute to a modern cloud-based Lakehouse and will be involved in all stages from ideation and design to production of data products used both internally and externally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining batch and real-time data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.
- Working on a modern cloud-based Lakehouse in AWS and Databricks.
- Ingesting and processing real-time events and large data streams.
- Developing and supporting AI solutions such as ML models, RAG chatbots, and vector search.
- Automating infrastructure and platform components using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Setting up and enhancing CI/CD pipelines for data, AI, and infrastructure deployments.
- Ensuring data quality, security, lineage, and governance within the data platform.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team with significant autonomy and influence over architecture, standards, and innovation.
About the Data Analytics Team:
The Data Analytics Team is a multidisciplinary group consisting of Analytics Engineers, a Business Analytics Translator, a Tech Lead, and a Product Owner. The team collaborates closely with the entire organization and occasionally with external clients. The team is responsible end-to-end: from idea and design to realization and production. With minimal dependencies on other technical teams, we can deliver quickly, and the impact of our work is immediately visible.
Your week will consist of alternating between building and maintaining pipelines and AI solutions, refinement sessions, stand-ups, and meetings with stakeholders and data owners.
