Alongside the Nyx project, our Advanced Projects team is dedicated to shaping the future of our company by incubating innovative concepts, spacecraft, and missions. As the Director of Advanced Projects, you will lead a multidisciplinary project and engineering team focused on initiating and delivering early-phase projects. This vital role encompasses:
Overseeing the Business Development team in preparing proposals in response to Invitations to Tender (ITT), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and various bid opportunities.
Ensuring successful execution of awarded contracts during Phase 0, Phase A, and portions of Phase B to prepare for the development phase.
This position is strategically critical in transforming customer needs into feasible technical solutions, ensuring timely project delivery within budget and adhering to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Advanced Projects, your daily responsibilities will include:
Leading Bid & Proposal initiatives
Coordinating cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals supporting the Business Development team.
Guiding your team in defining technical concepts, architectures, development roadmaps, cost estimations, and schedules.
Ensuring alignment between technical solutions, business strategy, and risk management.
Reviewing and approving proposal packages before submission.
Representing the company in customer presentations, technical discussions, and negotiations.
Executing Early Phase Programs (Phase 0, A, B)
Leading the execution of awarded early-phase contracts or providing support to project managers and technical leaders within your team.
Ensuring projects fulfill objectives regarding scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Implementing effective risk and opportunity management practices.
