Role overview
The Director of Engineering (DACH) is based at the Odyssey headquarters in Frankfurt / Offenbach and oversees engineering and maintenance operations for hotels throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This leader sets technical standards, guides property-level teams, and ensures that all hotels in the region maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
What you will do
- Lead and supervise engineering operations across multiple hotels in the DACH region
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, standards, and SOPs for the region
- Ensure safe and efficient management of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and BMS
- Oversee CAPEX planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Promote sustainability, energy efficiency, and ESG initiatives
- Manage external vendors, service contracts, and procurement
- Supervise renovations, refurbishments, and new hotel openings in the region
- Recruit, mentor, and lead engineering teams at all properties
