Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Process Engineering (Solar Panels)Assist engineering teams in the manufacturing processes for Control Sat (CSAT) and Micron Solar Panels. Contribute to process development, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Observe production activities to grasp material flow, tooling, and assembly methods. Identify opportunities to enhance throughput, minimize defects, and improve process stability. Flight Assurance & Quality SupportSupport auditing processes for spacecraft manufacturing and testing to ensure compliance with internal and mission assurance standards. Review technical documentation to verify adherence to processes and traceability. Assist in preparation for inspection readiness and conduct quality checks across production lines. Documentation & Digital ManufacturingCreate and update work instructions and digital applications utilizing Tulip or similar tools. Develop process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and visual aids. Maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing & Flight Assurance Engineering Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting the CSAT Solar Panel, Micron Solar Panel, and Flight Assurance teams. This position involves the development, enhancement, and validation of manufacturing processes for spacecraft hardware. Interns will gain hands-on experience in production engineering, process development, and mission assurance activities related to solar panel fabrication and spacecraft manufacturing operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about the construction, testing, documentation, and auditing of flight hardware to ensure quality, consistency, and mission success.

This internship runs from 5/18/2026 to 8/7/2026 and is on-site at our Midland, TX facility. Applicants must be enrolled in the following semester. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply for our full-time roles.
