Key ResponsibilitiesPhase 1 – Engineering TechnicianParticipants will initially work with spacecraft hardware, supporting CSAT structures, integrations, and major assembly operations. Key responsibilities include:Engaging in hands-on assembly and integration of CSAT structures, mechanical subsystems, and flight components. Facilitating mechanical integration, alignment, and fastening of spacecraft assemblies. Assisting with bonding, adhesives, potting, and precision assembly processes following engineering procedures and workmanship standards. Adhering to stringent cleanroom protocols including ESD and FOD control when managing flight hardware. Supporting quality inspections and verification activities to ensure hardware meets engineering specifications and workmanship standards.

Position Overview

The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is tailored for outstanding recent graduates aspiring to become spacecraft engineers by gaining practical knowledge in satellite construction.

Participants in this program will commence their careers directly on the spacecraft production floor as Engineering Technicians supporting CSAT structures, integrations, and major assembly operations. This hands-on role provides invaluable experience in assembling and integrating flight components into spacecraft.

As participants showcase their technical abilities and leadership potential, they will advance through a structured development pathway:

Engineering Technician → Associate Manufacturing Engineer → Manufacturing Engineer

This program offers a unique opportunity to cultivate engineers with a comprehensive understanding of spacecraft hardware from the ground up, combining hands-on assembly experience, early leadership development, and a seamless transition into an engineering role. Participants will directly contribute to building flight hardware, lead technical teams, and support large-scale spacecraft production.
