ROLE REQUIREMENTS Demonstrate robust local client leadership while fostering collaboration across AKQA both regionally and globally. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to address clients’ most pressing challenges and deliver measurable results. Lead senior client partnerships and engage confidently at the C-suite level (CMO, CIO, CEO). Manage new business initiatives from inception to execution, including pipeline, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with the Delivery & Operations Director to ensure effective planning and execution of opportunities. Contribute to and occasionally lead Wellington agency meetings, updates, and communications. Cultivate a proactive, passionate, and energetic culture focused on client success. Work together with Marketing and leadership to enhance awareness and interest in AKQA NZ offerings. Enhance engagement and culture within the Wellington studio, supporting retention and performance. QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS Extensive experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams to achieve client outcomes within a creative environment. Deep understanding of digital transformation and client engagement strategies.

In your role, you will assist the National Managing Director for NZ by promoting client leadership, driving business development, and enriching our studio culture. As a trusted senior advisor, you will cultivate and enhance relationships with executives (CMO, CIO, CEO), uncover new opportunities for value addition, and serve as a brand ambassador and entrepreneurial leader dedicated to achieving results for both our clients and AKQA.
