We are not only rebuilding our second OpenStack core but also expanding our Leaf Sites and launching managed databases, all while laying the foundation for sovereign AI inference. About the Role
We are developing Leafcloud's customer-facing platform layer, encompassing managed Kubernetes (Gardener), managed databases (CloudNativePG), and a cohesive customer portal. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the senior engineering anchor for these initiatives.
Collaborating closely with our CTO, you will define the technical direction and partner with another platform engineer for execution. You will enjoy significant autonomy in shaping the platform layer, making crucial architectural decisions alongside the CTO.
Your first hundred days will focus on the launch of our DBaaS , rolling out an internal beta, followed by an external beta with design partners, leading to general availability. Concurrently, you will enhance the customer-facing Gardener experience, with subsequent focus on the customer portal direction as the role evolves.
Your Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver our managed database product utilizing CloudNativePG and additional technologies.
- Shape the customer-facing Kubernetes experience, including Gardener Shoots, lifecycle management, onboarding processes, and service level agreements (SLAs).
