About the job
Are you a motivated student eager to gain invaluable experience at one of the Netherlands' premier law firms with a global perspective? If you have a keen interest in employment law and wish to immerse yourself in De Brauw's unique culture and dynamic environment, then our student traineeship is the ideal opportunity for you!
Your Role as a Student Trainee
This traineeship is an excellent gateway to understand our firm and the Employment & Employee Benefits practice. You will engage in legal research related to ongoing cases and work closely alongside our lawyers, asking questions, and observing court hearings and client meetings. Throughout your traineeship, you will receive hands-on learning opportunities through regular interactions with a partner and a senior associate, as well as collaborating with colleagues across various practice groups. Additionally, you will have the chance to actively participate in our educational and social programs, tailored both to your practice area and the firm as a whole.
The Practice
Our distinguished Employment & Employee Benefits practice encompasses all facets of employment law, including intricate litigation involving employment, co-determination, and pension laws. We collaborate closely with our M&A team on both national and international transactions. Our team advises and represents clients in matters related to individual dismissals (especially at the executive level), collective dismissals, reorganizations, national and European co-determination, collective bargaining agreements, flexible and temporary employment arrangements, pension law, equality rights, and industrial actions. A significant aspect of our employment litigation practice involves our contributions to Supreme Court cases, providing you with the opportunity to partake in impactful legal cases that affect workers nationwide.
