Role overview The Director of Human Resources will build and lead the HR function from the ground up. Responsibilities span recruiting, total rewards, HR operations, and people strategy, all tailored for a growing defense technology company. This position is both strategic and hands-on. The Director will move between sourcing technical talent, managing benefits renewals, and working with founders on organizational design and headcount planning. A typical day might start with resume reviews and end with developing compensation structures. Success in this role is measured by the quality of hires and the HR systems established for long-term growth. This role partners closely with the founding team, reporting to the VP of Operations, and acts as a key advisor on decisions that shape NODA’s culture and future capabilities. Key responsibilities Talent acquisition and recruiting Lead full-cycle recruiting for engineering, mission, growth, and G&A roles, including positions that require security clearances. Personally source, evaluate, and onboard candidates while building scalable recruiting systems, tools, and pipelines. Design and implement the interview process, including scorecards and structured debriefs.

Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, time off, and HR policies, escalating issues when necessary. Compensation and Benefits The compensation package includes a base salary up to $80,000 USD, stock options, and additional benefits.
