We are excited to partner with our Public Sector Client to recruit a dedicated Tours & Exhibitions Team Leader in the vibrant city of Belfast. This is a full-time, temporary role that offers 37 hours per week at a competitive rate of £10.14 per hour.
The ideal candidate will excel in managing front-of-house operations, providing day-to-day supervision of part-time and casual Tours and Exhibitions Reception staff throughout the facility’s operating hours, which include evenings and weekends.
Main Responsibilities:
- Organize and oversee the activities of all part-time and casual staff at the Tours and Exhibitions Reception, serving as the initial point of contact for visitor inquiries.
- Perform essential duties at the Exhibition Reception desk, adhering to established rotas while ensuring high standards of professionalism and customer care for tourists, visitors, Members of Council, and staff.
- Act as a concierge, welcoming all visitors and serving as a single point of contact for exhibition and tour inquiries.
- Provide comprehensive information about exhibition themes, tours, the City Hall building, and other local attractions.
- Handle and secure payments, including cash, cheque, voucher, credit, and debit card transactions, while managing cashing-up, reconciliation, and banking procedures.
- Manage and promote merchandise areas, including display, sales, stock rotation, replenishment, and inventory management.
- Utilize software and information systems, including point-of-sale and booking systems.
- Deliver customer ticket sales and information services in person, via email, post, and telephone, including ticket issuance, reservations, refunds, and exchanges, while assisting patrons with special requirements.
- Monitor visitor numbers and behavior, reporting any potential situations that may require limiting access or visitor removal to management.
